So today... practically all of our Novasolan allies left the MCS map: Gotzborg, Anthelia, and Alexandria. No word was said to us about this new map but I don't care. But, thankfully the new map has a Novasolan continent on it as well. So I'm sure we're all still friendly Novasolan Treaty-friends. www.micromaps.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=4Whatever. We're staying on the MCS map.

Even though im not one of your Novasolan allies (or ally officially generally) i feel i should tell you that when i found out about GSO (and i believe others were told the same) i was told to keep it secret. But rest assured that if i were able to tell people, i would of course of informed you as im sure your Novasolan allies would of done also.

what happened?

Thank you for the insight King Jeremy.
Neem... a whole bunch of Nations, most of them are our friends and allies, left the MCS map and formed a new map, the GSO... which I admit is much nicer and logical. Expansion and stuff is not determined by the map administration, but by conquest and colonisation and stuff.
Sounds a lot better than what we have now.
However, now that there are two mapping projects... one will die. We are obviously not wanted on the new map. This is just another example of how Natopia has never, and most likely never will, "fit in" with the micronational crowd.
We are going to stay on the MCS map and I will talk to our Novasolan "friends" about canceling our precious treaty with them now that they are no longer our neighbors.

Its not that your not wanted, i only found out about it accidentally. I'm sure if you asked to be on the map everyone would be only to happy to have you in GSO. New Brittania if no one else appreciates Natopia as a great country, which is in many ways better than my own.

Thank you for the sentiments. Of course they'd be only too happy to have us on their map... that would be one more for them and one less for MCS.
I realize the members were sworn to secrecy... and some found it accidently like you. But surely some must have been invited by the Illuminati running this GSO... and the fact that ALL other Novasolan nations were invited/found it/etc. to the GSO feels like a collective shun from our neighbors.

As one of these "illuminati" I can assure you that you were supposed to have been invited to the GSO. When I brought Edgard of Alexandria in to the organisation he expressed a desire to have you in the organisation, one which has been echoed by several other members of the organisation, both on and off the GSO forums (Cabinet confidentiality and other conventions mean that I cannot provide you with the actual quotes). Edgard however forgot to tell you about the existence of the organisation, and this is the only reason why you were not involved in its preparation. You were not neglected. Please accept my sincerest apologies.

The Royal Cabinet of Gotzborg expressed concerns last week, during one of its meetings, about Natopia's apparent non-involvement in the initial discussions surrounding the GSO map. Rest assured, the oversight on the invite was not intentional. It was the goal of the Novasolum community for all members to make the move to the GSO world map, and Gotzborg very much looks forward to seeing Natopia join us as per the Novasolum friendship we have fostered to date.

And may I ask, why was Antica not invited? We too feel as if we are left out, especialy by Riponia.

You weren't forgotten about by GSO administration. You were forgotten about by the emissary, who has expressed his apologies to me, and will soon doubtless be apologising here. As for the Antican issue, I discussed the matter with an Antican citizen who shall not be named, and was told that it would have to go before the Assembly to be approved, which would have destroyed any semblance of secrecy. That Vehendi was a citizen was not taken into our calculations.

Not true. The FINAL decision comes through the assembly. And I'll be questioning Steven's loyalties.

The whole secrecy thing really worked out well for everyone. Everyone not involved feels alienated and betrayed now.
