Here is the text of a standard recognition treaty. Please make comments, criticisms, or suggestions.

Treaty of Recognition
Between
The Sovereign Imperial Kingdom of Natopia
And
The Principality of Perejil

The Sovereign Imperial Kingdom of Natopia (Natopia) and the Principality of Perejil (Perejil) hereby proclaim their intentions of establishing mutual recognition.

1. Natopia hereby recognizes the sovereignty of Perejil over all of its claims, virtual or actual. Perejil hereby recognizes the sovereignty of Natopia over all of its claims, virtual or actual.

2. Natopia will never engage in hostile action, either overt or covert, against Perejil. Perejil will never engage in hostile action, either overt or covert, against Natopia.

3. Citizens of Natopia may have free travel in Perejil. Citizens of Perejil may have free travel in Natopia.

4. The head of state of Natopia may petition the overnment of Perejil if an action of the Perejil government does not coincide with this Treaty.

5. The head of state of Perejil may petition the government of Natopia if an action of the Natopian government does not coincide with this Treaty.
