with neem being gone we need to consider the possibility of replacing her has prime minister.
now, the prime minister doesnt really do much... except "administer the ministries" which... what does that even mean? seriously.
so i suggest we just get rid of the office. itll require a constitutional amendment.
what does everyone else think?

I'm fine with getting rid of it if she doesn't come back. Did it do anything anyway? like was it important that we had that position?

It would do something if the Ministries ever went "out of line" but that's difficult since Nate runs half of them and they really don't tend to actually do anything. I mean, with me the MoIA has been doing a little bit but we started way after Neem left.
The scary thing is the census will be back again soon and it would be a shame for neem to lose her citizenship but if she does not return in just over a month she will so the PM title will barely matter anyway.

it would be a shame to abolish the office. right now its very redundant though... it would be like the US president having a Chief Secretary to manage the different federal departments.
The only other option would be to abolish some other office and give the PM those duties.
in the past, the PM was leader of the frenzy, so we could abolish the chancellor again and let the PM lead the frenzy. (but keep it the same job, basically changing the name from chancellor to prime minister)
or perhaps abolish the Grand Consul and let the PM do that stuff.
during the republic the prime minister was simply the minister with most seniority, so it was just a title and there were no extra duties.

i think we should keep it as a title, like in the republic, rather than abolish anything

Yeah, definately, don't dump it, and don't replace her for now. Maybe it is as simple as enacting legislation where at the end of MZ's term (neem hopefully to god will be back by then) the PM get's the chancellor's job.

You could make it elected I guess... We would probably keep her in office since she has always be PM... but yanno technically the Emperor is elected.

you keep saying that but im not. the constitution you wrote makes it semi-hereditary ok well the real problem in the line of succession. shes also crown princess, second in line to the throne. and prime minister is 3rd in line. and the constitution doesnt go beyond that. i was thinking of scrapping that part of the constitution and making the order of succession more along the lines of other monarchies... with the lords of the demesnes in line in order of rank and seniority.
