Few Words and Ideas

Firstly, Im VERY glad to see activity here without me. Thanks much to Regent Brian for what he's doing (especially keeping the Natopian tradition of issueing extremly biased personal decrees ... emma watson... ) Im very glad he's initiatec the Natopian self-examination effort and look forward to continueing the other Natopian tradition of rewriting constitutions and whatnot... I was in fact inspired greatly by the Bavarian monarchy... a very modern state created in the age of enlightenment and therefore follows noble ideals. Perhaps modeling Natopia off a Bavarian system. I saw many similarities between Bavarias history and Natopia. I dont know... discuss!

Anyway, while walking around a small dutch town yesterday I had an idea that i thought was very interesting. The issue of recwar is a hot one... in all the microworld, and even here in our Empire. Basically, my idea was to outlaw the Natopian military (as some real countries have done even) and therefore make Natopia a peaceful neutral nation... like Switzerland. But to satisfy any of our recwar needs, and to make unique and interesting micronational entity... I create some Order of Knighthood and embody our military in that. The Order will be seperate from the Empire... it will be a modern day Knights Templar kinda. And as i will be its leader, Natopia's protection will always be the primary, if not "official" goal of it. Discuss.

er... well I see no point in that since recwar should be dumped anyway. We need to spend our time on something that can actually better Natopia's (and it's people's well-being) oter than some stupid game.

And I know nothing of Bavaria, really.

thats exactly the thing im talking about.

recwar is a hobby enjoyed by a few Natopians.... the emperor included... so by seperating it... recwars will never again play a role in official natopian affairs.

You don't understand what I'm implying, or perhaps I don't. I will deal with it even though it WILL hamper progress but beyond that I am hoping you are suggesting a seperate forum like not even on chancellornate.proboards20.com to do this period. But I am TELLING you we could spend our time on better things than some game. For crying out loud, what's wrong with Word Association? Especially when some of us don't even approve of the activities of any particular nation in question...

Outlawing Natopian military may be unwise though if there is ever a SERIOUS need for it... like, an actual threat.

But now that I've looked at this closely I am OK with it if everyone else is.

how can a pretend military defend against an actual threat? the order will still be headed by me and i will be damn well sure that it will abandon other responsibilities for any suprise rec-invasions.
