Sorry I haven't checked in recently, I've been a bit busy with my other micronational pursuits. Here's what I've been up to: * I'm the Human Rights Commissioner of Strathclyde - see www3.sympatico.ca/jklaas/zklaas/micronations/strathcommissioner.htm - and have been writing up my opinions on human rights references for the micronation of Strathclyde. * I'm the Chair of the Lavalon Constitutional Committee - see www3.sympatico.ca/jklaas/zklaas/micronations/lavconcom.htm - and have been busy evaluating constitutional reform in Lavalon (to replace the current provisional "coup" government with a government that has some democratic legitimacy). All this has left a distressingly small amount of time to devote to participation in the fastest growing intermicronational political party known as the Free Juice and Bagels Party. Drats. Zak

I have a question for you folks - how do you conceive of what this Natopia of yours is, exactly? For the most part, it seems to function as just a fun place to have a chat - which I can totally get behind, really. I continue to enjoy posting here, talking baseball and watching furious Tasneem-Ryan back-and-forth postings and the like. Thus far, the only person here of those I've had any exchanges with (that would number three) who seems to be actually following micronationalism outside of this place would be the Grand Chancellor himself. Am I gauging that correctly? Do the rest of you involve yourself in that stuff, or is that more of a Chancellor Nate thing? I wonder if I should be blathering about all this stuff I'm doing with the whole micronationalism experience if people would just like me to chat about whether Jason Isringhausen is a good closer or something instead.

I'm usually the only one that gets involved in outside micronationalism. ryan and tasneem are involved in inner politics. The Grand Natopian Senate is filled with bills and proposals. However, only senators may enter the Senate board..... sorry, you cant come in zak ;D
ive always had the MNO link posted somewhere... encouraged certain ppl to go and sign up there. i guess it just didnt catch on w/ them.

Bummer. Well, I suppose if the Free Juice and Bagels Party is going to get off the ground, I'll have to do it myself.

Sorry, I'm not into the micronation thing. I have no idea what that is all about anyways. I'm sure I could get interested in it if I knew anything about it but then you would be tired with my endless posts.
Nathan probably gave the link in some point in time and I most likely put it on my list of link I should go to, but I never get around to getting there. I suppose I could go if you give me the link again.
The Free Juice and Bagel party rules!!

The link is theassociation.tk if you're interested. I'm wondering if I should integrate some sort of humour component to the IA in order to attract participation from people whose interest in these things is more along the line of having a Free Juice and Bagels Party. It could be a neat cultural exchange idea. Alternatively, we could make the Cardinals the official baseball team of the IA.

Oh, and about the bagels/juice party, you'll find that my jokes have a bad habit of becoming real.

Hey! I like the idea that the Cardinals become the official team! Stop putting them down, Ryan!

I will continue to put them down until they become a decent team, starting with the firing of LaRussa.

dont feel so bad about ur jokes becoming real. Natopia, for instance, began as a joke! and continued as a joke for some time until finding www.Micro-Nations.org and it struck my fancy and i reorganized Natopia into a "real" country. ;D

The Cards are becoming more decent as we speak! Starting with these wonderful wins with wonderful pitching.
Hey, didn't Natopia start in freshman orientation? I always thought Natopia was a real country. I seriously think that all of us should say that we are from Natopia. That would be so cool.

We gave up 4 runs, and we only won because our overpaid offense finally cranked out some runs. Our pitching is lackluster at best, so the only way to win is to simply bury the opponent in runs.

But, our offense is taking down the other pitchers by getting alot of hits and the awesome defensive plays prevents some hits from becoming runs so it balances out in our favor.
