The problem with Natopia is that we have very little self-motivated projects going on right now. I don't know whether thats my fault for not being inspirational enough, or all our faults for not being patriotic enough. But something has to change.
I'm not going to suggest switching to democracy... I really don't care for legal activity as all active citizens are legates anyway, democracy won't do anything unless you are dissatisfied with my leadership. If so i will step down and make way for either a new emperor or a democratic government.
I don't know what to suggest we do for projects... I'm trying to get the navy and a spacefleet up and going.
Perhaps if we try and get a genuine "space theme" going, we can better focus on some themed projects. But thats just me, i like space.
Any thoughts at all... from anyone... I'm interested in foreign perspective too.

space... eww. I want REAL progress, I don't want to turn this into Mr. Rodgers Land of Make Believe. I'm calling you King Friday the 13th from now on Nate

Well, we need to try and make real progress. I know ya hate phpBB, but I could host either phpBB or IPB on BMSprint.com for Natopia and we could make it look just like this forum. I know this is going to be a no, but I think you could consider me hosting a simple site for you instead of Freewebs. I suggest both of these things for the simple reason of I think we'd be more professional without ads or if the ads were on our own behalf.
But we need to simply engange in projects promoting Natopia, create ministries allowing us to do more, and have more things going on as you say, King Friday, but just not so... unreal like space... more real things like podcasts, our own crap and real working crap, etc. Yanno.

I much prefer the safety of having our forums remotely hosted and not php based... look at how Antica was destroyed. We're safe on Proboards because if anyone dares attack us, an entire company will be on their tails with actual lawsuits.
We can remove ads on our forums for $7 a month... we can all donate by purchasing credits for the forum.
I can upgrade our website to premium... $42 a year, $3.50 a month... we'll remove ads and be able to have unlimited pages... a limitation that has bothered me when making the website.
Podcasts are an excellent idea, i had one recorded months ago but could not find a host for it. In fact, the upgraded freewebs account includes file downloads and music streaming that could, i guess, be used to host the podcasts?

I think I could use BMSprint.com to host that.
But as far as FreeWebs goes, if you were to use the advanced editor there is no limitation interestingly, but of course you are required to use HTML. To go the route of paying, I don't see why you would not let me host it, I would give you FTP access clearly, unless you want to stay with Freewebs because of their editor, on that ground I completely understand.
Proboards is based on CGI and you think that is not vulnerable? And I am not sure ProBoards would be bothered with the loss of one forum... it's a maybe/maybe not situation. I guess the most secure way to do things would be to program a forum ourselves so you would have to have malicious intentions directly to that board to succeed, but that would be an overbearing project to say the least.
But I'll look at how Podcasts work for that my friend.

Well considering that if our forums were hacked it would be an attack on their servers, i think they would care very much, it being their property. I really like the look of the site as it is now... and since its a template... yeah. i have an HTML natopia website, but it certainly LOOKS like html... not very professional..

oh yeah. that'll be nice.
the one podcast i have... if i still have it... is so old its not even worth publishing...
You did some episodes for another podcast, right? perhaps you'd like to spearhead this endeavor and pioneer Natopia's entry into audio media?

I did KZFO before it became a podcast, I need special software to save as MP3 files though but I will try and even if I cannot record I WILL host it on my site.

ooo, I've been missing alot (and right now I'm missing sleep for this post) but podcasts could be fun if we all can get together online one day and talk.

Great, now we are talking SkyPE, nonetheless still possible though Maybe we could do it with messenger anyway, if we all used the same one (and I use all 4, 4 including ICQ.)
