Wow... Another year! I wore my Natopia shirt today to school and made a point to wish everyone a happy Natopia Day.
I am immensely proud of this country, after the catastrophic set backs of early this summer, we have bounced back remarkably. We now have a fully active legislature and active demesnes... It would almost seem as if our paniced transition to monarchy is moot now. But even as a monarchy we will grow stonger and more respected in the micronational community.
Our ambassadorial program has been praised by Kaiser Los III of Shireroth, and he wishes to implement a similar system in Shireroth. Do not let Shireroth outshine us in a program that we can proudly claim as uniquely Natopian! Ambassadors, I implore you to continue visiting your assigned nations and to take on more assignments as you feel necessary.
Three years is a great milestone for any micronation, and this year's speech I won't recap our history. Let's get straight to the Awards!!
Firstly, I would like to thank Miss Sherry Lochhaas for returning to Natopia from her long absence, allowing Natopia to bounce back from its catastophy of the early summer. In appreciation for her past service and her current service as Noble and Ambassador, I hereby induct her into the Order of the Black Hole with the rank of Baroness. Lochhatonia will be restored as a Barony under her administration.
The first awards are the Three Year Continued Service Pins. Natopians who have been, by varying degrees, active in Natopia since its founding are eligible for this award. The following Natopians have recieved the Three Year Pin:
HSM Nathan Shepard
HG Tasneem Chowdhury
Lady Sherry Lochhaas
Lord Joel Castleberry
Lord Aaron Pavletich
Congratulations and I hope to award you all the 6 Year Pin as well!
The next set of awards is actually a newly formed order of knighthood. Membership is restricted to those who have never held Natopian citizenship. It is the Order of Yoshi, and Knights of this order have shown clear interest in Natopia and have directly benefitted Natopia. I hereby confer Knighthood upon:
Kaiser Los III of Shireroth
As the MiniEx of Shireroth a few years ago, Scott stumbled upon Natopia, which was also an Imperial Republic at the time, and a treaty was forged between Shireroth and Natopia that still remains. This initial contact with Shireroth exposed Natopia to the wider world of micronationalism, of which Natopia had been severely limited to prior to that. Scott has continued to pop up time and again and personally invited Natopia to help found the Shireroth-Natopia-Antica Recwar League, which remains to be popular and argueably successful in its second war.
Olorix of Antica
Olorix has served as the de facto ambassdor to Natopia from Antica and has been the main contact between Natopia and Antica for a good portion of Natopia's interactions with Antica. It was Olorix's initial communiques that caused Natopia to enter SNARL along with Antica and Attera.
Congratulations to the first ever Knights of Yoshi!
Also, Stormark is having a Ball in honor of Natopia's founding, please do go have a visit there:
