40. All persons who operate an account on the Empire's internet forums must ensure that their password is unique among all their other passwords. 40.1 This Section of the Royal Code is extended to include ALL persons, including non-citizens.
there is precious little we can do to increase security on our forums. our forums are remotely hosted and are backed up regularly by the Proboards company. if anything should happen to our forums, Proboards themselves will restore us and will be able to take swift action in tracing and prosecuting the hacker.
what we CAN do, is protect outselves against infiltration... that is why i am suggesting this measure. it is known that administrators of other forums can use programs to decode members' passwords. Therefore, if your password is decoded on another nation's forums, a spy can use it to sign in here.
with this measure, i cannot envision how we can be open to infiltration if we maintain a password in Natopia unique to only this board.
there is not much to debate on this.
i move to VOTE
