It seems as if my opinion on Alexandria offered a recent bit of controversy.
Now that I think about it, my mention of what I thought of Alexandria itself is unwarranted and I apologize for THAT bit of immaturity. However I do stand by my opinion on the person I consider to be the face of Alexandria, Edgard Portela.
Towards the end of last year, as you know, Sullifree dealt with an unwarranted attack at the hands of Babkha and furthermore the Great Commonwealth. Babkha out of the blue after practically never having any sort of relationship at all "attacked" Sullifree's forum, claiming that they had overtaken Sullifree. I shrugged this off, banned the culprit (who later it became apparent was the honorable Robert Davis who had no real apparent quarrel with Sullifree) and was fine until Babkha informed the MCS that they had taken us over and they should mark the claim as disputed.
Meanwhile I wanted to extend the hand of friendship to all of the nations who had allied with Natopia. The response I got from who is apparently Alexandria's, if nothing else, foreign minister, was unsettling, especially considering the absurdity, ridiculousness, and immaturity of that "war" in which Babkha apparently thought it was OK to be hostile to a nation that refuses to recwar, was fairly independent, small, and against Babkha blatantly defenseless. Because apparently its ok to force a recwar on a nation that does not recwar, ESPECIALLY if they were never hostile to you.

After this banter where I have been clearly rudely "shooed" I try to make my case:

-HIH Prince Enrique Portela
The bottom line is until Natopia got involved they supported the GC for no reason that they were "allies" despite the moral implications and when Natopia got involved they decided to remain "neutral." Would I have had a problem with their neutrality in general? No, especially if it came before Natopian involvement. What left me in bad will is that I was put off like a worthless piece of trash. I had never acted in a rude manner towards Alexandria and I should have been welcomed to participate in General DIscussion as a foreigner instead of being banned with words as opposed to actually banned.
So to Alexandria I apologize. I don't really think Alexandria is that bad. In fact now that I think about it I apologise to Edgard for using profanity towards him. But I do not apologize for the fact that he has never treated me respectfully whenever he approached me. And I feel terribly slighted, degraded, and prejudiced against for no reason. I feel like he has the opinion that I am worthless and that he is better than me, even though Sullifree predates Alexandria... and I mean the first one.
And once again I apologise for my brash action. Although I am put off by Stormark issuing a resolution that basically derided me for using free speech, especially without learning all the facts, when I DO have an inherent right to speak my mind.

Please leave Alexandria at once, we do not wish to have relations with the enemy of our ally, the GC.
Good day.
Good day.

Someone should perhaps check Treaties and Alliances in each nation before putting his foot into his mouth?
-Matthieu Poiters
really.

Now that Sullifree has become part of Natopia, a member of the Novasolum Treaty, what is our posture towards them?
And if a conflict does arise between the Grand Commonwealth and Natopia, should we remain neutral or should we honor one of treaties and void the other.

-Emperor Edgard II
Well, since we share an alliance with both nations, I think it is imperative that we remain neutral.
-Fabiola Douay
Maybe the old treaties should be voided and new ones drawn up?
-Emperor Edgard II
Hmmm, I'm not sure about that. It was a bit hard to get the mutual protection treaty with the Grand Commonwealth right. I wouldn't want to scrap it after the Foreign Office's hard work.
-AugustoBenavides
I agree with His Majesty, "if it works... don't fix it"
-Fabiola Douay
But does it work? If it works, why are we deciding which stance to take? I believe we should amend the treaty to suit our needs.

1. I am /was an enemy with ONE MEMBER of the GC.
2. The conflict with them seems to have subsided.
3. If you have paid any attention to the situation, you will know beyond doubt that the GC were only being jackasses to us and claimed their reasoning was to give me "a good kick." The attack we supposedly carried out? Not us, and that one is obvious. We do not believe in micronational military, and never approved of the attack at all. There are even members of the GC, not only individuals but entire nations, who realize what a load this really was.
4. Excuse me for trying to be a friend.

ok...ok...ok. We asked you once, now again i ask you, please leave the premecise. The Empire of the Alexandrians, though friends with Natopia, will not make a statement due to the fact that we have a Mutual Protection Treaty with the Grand Commonwealth.
At the moment, we shall remain neutral and not look into the matter.
respectfully,
