In that horrible hour,
some of America's darkest days,
the two towers collapsed
into oppressive haze.
Not only did the towers fall,
but the pentagon was punctured, too!
Abought eighty died at the pentagon alone
and many more made it blue.
We should understand the people affected
varied in religion, also,
even Muslims whose only crime was religion
were murdered with the planes' lethal blow.
Wheelchairs in flames along with their owners,
you musn't forget the children,
from the field trip and employee daycare,
who died before they could listen.
Seniors were torhed in the flames just as well,
People's very own grandparents,
and they couldn't ring the danger bell!
They were gone in 60 seconds!
I had an aunt in New York,
that I had never met,
and she, too, may have gotten asbestos,
or possibly worse yet.
A couple of months before the tragic event,
my sister was in New York,
Not knowing that one of the things she saw would be gone with the wind.
Perhaps preoccupied, eating with a fork.
If you destroy the heart of a nation,
there are things you are meant to regret.
The terrorists will fall---fall just as fastm
as the towers did, I bet.
The shock of the event was overwhelming.
So much so, it wasn't even funny!
Not only did we lose many, many lives,
but some Americans lost all of their money.
So here I am, writing today,
thinking I am safe in this chair,
but you can never be completely sure,
while objects we make fly through the air.
