I'll start the discussion off with the Christian view of God. As everyone knows, Christians believe that God exists in a Trinity. "God is a Trinity, the single eternal being existing in three persons: Father, Son (Divine Logos, incarnated as Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christianity#Doctrine. We believe God is One, but shows Himself in three persons. One of the areas of heresy or error is in that of Christology or the nature of Christ, is he divine or human, or some mixture of both? The Bible, as we believe it, states that "Jesus is both fully God and fully human, two "natures" in one person." This issue is very complex, and I will direct you to another site to investigate the details of Christian theology. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trinity is a good site explaining Christian beliefs about God. Now, I am very curious to learn of Islam's and especially Buddhism's ideas of God.

God, in my opinion, is the initiator of Creation. He set forth the Big Bang and caused all the molecules and laws of science to make the universe form. he set forth the process of evolution and set forth events to make human history follow a general path.
Jesus is the Son of God, and the physical representation of God on Earth... we can only reach God thru Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is the spiritual (no pun intended) representation of God on Earth... this is how God commincates to us
God knows all and can do all... he allows us our free will.

I would have to disagree with you on evolution. I view Genesis as literal, meaning a 6 day creation, so I would agree that God is the Creator, but not the starter of evolution.
Jesus, is the Messiah, the human face of God, the lamb of God who died for the sins of the world. He is the way to God, and the truth, and life.
I would agree with you that the Holy Spirit is also a representative of the Father on earth, but in the heart of the believer. The Spirit is the life of the Church. Without the Spirit the Church would be useless and unable to accomplish its mission.

I do believe that the seven-day creation is accurate with regards to the order of events, even in terms of evolution. I doubt, however, that each "day" was a 24-hour day.

I thought the GAP theory involved a discount on Blue Jeans at the beginning of history. -Bad pun by Bishop Adam Graham of Cyberia.
