Yeah - we need to do ALL that. It's not going to be an overnight thing; and if it somehow was, we would have likely made many mistakes. This will take a while, we need to sit and think it all out.

a rough draft of the new government:
executive branch
1. Grand Chancellor with power of total decrees. 2. Natopian Ministry remains as is, the ministry will advise the chancellor and may suggest decrees 3. veto frenzy laws
legislative branch
1. chancellor leads it 2. comprised of all active citizens (defined by constitution, ceremonially appointed by the chancellor) 3. vote on the grand judge's overturn of decrees 4. given legislative powers when membership can remain over 7 5. issue resolutions
judicial branch
1. grand judge may overturn decrees 2. overturn frenzy laws?
regions
1. reorganized into dependencies.... these dependencies can be given to outstanding Natopians... or better yet... those who are members of the Order of the Black Hole... regular members are Protectors, so they could be Protectorates... but thats widely used... hmm... o jeeze, im off on a tangent... i think i may rework the OBH and get back to this

ok... the "regions" will have no influence on the imperial government. the regions will be like a "gift" from the chancellor to loyal citizens... bringing in the feudal element. with that setup, demesne is a good name for the regions, from dictionary.com: "Manorial land retained for the private use of a feudal lord." each loyal citizen will have a demesne for their own use... Tasneem's demesne will be Lee's summit school district, like before. i will not have a demesne, and Ziegeland-Lochhatonia will be split in half among Aaron and Joel (they are members of the OBH coz they were founders) and then Rob will get his own demesne.
as for the OBH... we can add a royal element and have members as knights instead of protectors.

Sounds good chief...but I dont really need a demesne. I would prefer a small Benefice, and whatever title is deemed appropriate.

you mean.. a landed estate granted in feudal tenure? sure... whatever what title would be appropriate for that? i think Knights will call themselves Lords or Ladies... so you will a Lord... unless you want something else since u are already a lord.

I don't want to be a "lady"...

what do u suggest then? i suppose the title can be optional. do you mind being a knight? from what jon says, the title "knight" is unisex, but male knights use "sir" and female knights use "dame"...i guess

Ok folks - let's not go crazy with the Title-Grabbing!!
Since we're all (I think) members of the OBH, the title of Knight/Dame is easy enough - we just change the OBH Charter so that it's a Chivalric Order. So we're all Knights.
So far as Titles for the land-grants (called "peerages"): we can go with Baron / Baroness and name of land for the demesnes; and for the smaller areas, simply Lord / Lady and their last name.
So... Demesne: Baron of Ziegeland, etc

ah... Ziegeland will return to its status as a Barony... neato! good thing you're here to tell us about all this fancy title stuff!

From what you were talking about before, you could actually incorporate some aspects of Fascism (Italian Fascism that is) into the Natopian government structure, though the changes to the legislative branch effectively mirror the legislative organisation of Italy in the 30's and 40's (Which had a Fascist Grand Council that as I understand it was appointed by Mussolini).
My opinion on regions is that you really should gradually phase out ones that are not particularly active, or at least limti their power. Centralising power is important in micronations, and I've seen few success stories with regional autonomy in micronationalism and the fact is that in real life, regional autonomy is actually created to make things easier for the central government (as devolved regions deal with a majority of local issues generally speaking), whereas in micronations regions in my opinion often make central government far less effective and make thigns more difficult for all concerned.

well... Natopia was once up to 7 Regions... then down to 3....and now we're at 2... and Ziegeland and Tasneemia (who have been active enough to remain Regions up to this point) just arnt really doing anything... they were intended to make "mini-cultures" Taseemia was to be a "haven" for Muslims and Ziegeland was to be a haven for Royalists (or people that wanted nifty titles, like me ;D). but... that doesnt do anything for Natopia... and now its "Natopia Uber Alles!!!" and as for before... yes... Natopia was totally fascist.. i just didint realize it was until now... sad.

Hey... I want a nifty title. We could just dissolve the regions and reunite

we are dissolving the Regions. you'll get a nifty title since your a Knight of the OBH... I, as Sovereign of the the Order, will "give" chunks of Natopian land away (called demesnes)... like a feudal king to Kights... who will be like feudal lords. You'll have a Title of Peerage, Baroness Tasneem.
