Natopia's land comes from the "annexation" of real land within a few cities in Missouri (the places where the various citizens live). I believe that Neem lives in Lee's Summit, and Nate lives in Kansas City, opposite sides of the state. But yeah, those are real maps.

neem... Ms Noel Day Ottman still resides in Lee's Summit, and is still a Natopian citizen.
Would you like the Imperial Government to abandon this claim to Lee's Summit? Or, if we lease land from Alexandria (or eventually claim Chicago) this could be treated as a "colony" of Tasneemia, almost like how Maine was a "dictrict" of Massachusetts for the longest time.
