...and my mom has a degree from there, and she worked at the library there, and I spent the first five years of my life living about ten blocks from there. Don't sweat it, I started the "old dude" talk in the first place.

Yeah, actually I think it's a very nice city. My grandparents used to live in the neighbourhood south of town called Red Bridge, which I thought was a very nice residential area. My uncle, aunt, cousin and his wife live a bit closer to the midtown/UMKC area, and I like that part of town as well.
The "J. C. Nichols" planned design of many parts of town make Kansas City a bit more coherent of a city than most American cities.

OK... so I took my ACT in the spring of 1979 (yikes)--- does that mean I am OLD? By the way, I got a 28, and I was a Junior, so that means that Ryan is officially smarter than me! chris grass Ministry of Natopian Health

I think Ryan is smarter than us all. Well, he will be unless I take the ACT again this year and get a higher score but that is very very very very unlikely. Hey, he's also smarter than my brother since he got a 31 on his second try as a junior.
My parents want to live in the Lee Summit area because of the high school. It's a bit far from UMKC but my brother is going to live in a dorm anyways. There's a big real estate company called Reece and Nichols. Is that the same thing?

Very likely so. The J. C. Nichols Co. was the real estate company that developed much of Kansas City, including the Country Club Plaza, which is one of KC's bigger deal parts of town. I wouldn't be surprised if they merged with another real estate company by now - it's been a while since I've been in KC.

I'm thinking it is the same thing since Reece and Nichols is a really really big real estate company and it seems like you can't bypass them if your looking for a house...

The ACT SUCKS!!!!
I got a 32 this time . 34 in english (9 points higher than last time), 34 in reading, 31 in math (I dropped!!! The horror!), and 29 in science (partly due to the fact I fell asleep...)
I'm unhappy about it because my parents won't let me stop taking it until I get a 34... Sucks to be me

You'll probably get a really really high score... with your genius powers. When are you taking it? Well, whatever you do, take it more than once.
Sigh... 34 seems so high... I'm doomed.
