The American Government wants ME to think Republics suck? HA! I always thought they liked to spread the false, pretentious idea of "Patriotism."

I take a strong dislike to most American politicians on this point. On issues of Homosexuality I'm moderate, Abortion I'm conservative because I do not understand how anyone can be pro-death, but healthcare, budget... definately liberal... in fact when it comes to healthcare I'm socialist. So I guess the bottom line is I'm wierd, I'm a monarchist, and I like to formulate my own opinion on issues instead of letting one organization tell me what's right.
America... still a republic... mghff... It's a Dinarchy: Clinton and Bush. If Hillary becomes President by the end of her run 20 years of presidents would have been from two families. And that doesn't even consider the possibility of a G.H.W.B. return or Jeb Bush taking a try. American politics are in sad shape.
Even in the days of Abe Lincoln earlier, there were still only two choices for president. Some of them may have been great ones, but the point is the US has NEVER been republican or democratic.

The problem is they are not supposed to represent one person.
Democrats do that WAY more. Like John Edwards, a prime example of a horrible politician. He is second worse to Hillary. John says he's so proud of his small town in NC but I can tell you I live close enough to it to know he never did crap for that small town. He also is against insurance caps which would decrease the cost of healthcare and keep important physicians in the state (obstetricians can no longer afford to stay in North Carolina, so then, how do babies get delivered?) and he is an example of a man representing his own interests. Even Hillary, in fact, has a solid healthcare plan. Nancy Pilosi is a good example of a good possible President but it won't happen.

I like Edwards a fare amount. My favorite Dem is and always has been Howard Dean. The right wing media machine shot him down in the primaries though...
My favorite Republican (I think that’s an oxymoron) is definitely Bloomberg. Mostly because he's the only republican I like.
Brian as for abortion I have several questions.
1. Do you have a uterus? 2. Do you use antibiotics? 3. Do you believe life starts at conception?

Explain to me how my previous post dealt with abortion at all.
...can't pay attention or actually do something revolutionary called READ can we?
And if I found out a girl had aborted MY baby I'd be enraged, I'd be like, have them and give them to me, I'll raise them. That is the major flaw with abortion, its sexist because parents deserve equal rights because the law guarantees equal rights to all genders. Nonetheless this is off topic because my post did not mention abortion at all.

Even in the days of Abe Lincoln earlier, there were still only two choices for president. Some of them may have been great ones, but the point is the US has NEVER been republican or democratic. I was referencing this post... I think I'd be very upset if a girl aborted a fetus with half my genes. I think I would be more than willing to raise the child. However, I understand that not every father would be as willing to take care of the baby. Not every mother would be in the position to request it. Furthermore, what about women who are raped, girls who are raped/molested by their father and end up pregnant what about them. Oh sure maybe the incestuous rapist dad would take that kid... why should those women suffer trying to take care of (or even be pregnant with) a baby they never should have been pregnant with in the first place. Just because you and I are nice guys doesn’t mean women shouldn’t have the right to eliminate an unwanted pregnancy.

The point is it does not give us an equal right. Of course, rapists deserve no say. And rape victims perhaps inherently deserve such a right, but honestly two wrongs don't make a right.
I just hate the costs of adoption these days... costs too much to put one up and WAY too much to adopt one. Adoption should honestly be free, I mean, these kids who deserve a chance might not get one just because of money? When I grow up my plan is to have no kids of my own and adopt as many as I reasonably can. The population of the world will kill it anyway.
