My school has a large population of international students and they make me feel so stupid cause they are fluent in english and most of them have been taking english for 3-4 years or something. Crazy!

seems to be the english speaking nations that fail to learn a second language. wen i was in france i got a ride to the village from a kind woman, she didnt speak english but she did speak spanish, german & catalan. atleast with german u can generally get the jist of a conversation if they speak slow enough, after all english is based in old germanic languages and many words have a common origin.
but there is one language i just cant understand a word of, welsh, u cant say anything in welsh without soundin like ur clearin ur throat wen u got a cold

heres a few examples of cornish...
What do you want to drink? - Pandra vynn'ta dh'y eva?
Pint of beer please. - Pinta korev marpleg.
Cheers - Yeghes da / Sewena
Shut up! - Taw taves / Syns dha glapp
Don't do that - Na wra henna
Who are you? - Piw os'ta?
cornish is another celtic language and i believe the only native english one
